How to launch LAN games in L4D2 through console?.

My friends and I want to set up some LAN games. How do we do so through the console? Can we play anything else apart from campaign?.

My friends and I want to set up some LAN games. How do we do so through the console? I know that you can do 'map [mapnamehere]' then get everyone to connect to the ip. But can we play anything else apart from campaign?.

After you type map [mapnamehere] type the type of game you want like realism, versus, survival, scavenge, or campaign.
Ex. map [mapnamehere] versus

To join the games, After you type connect [pcnumber] and just Submit.
Ex. connect [pc11]
